Our Team

The McMillan & Lockwood Group continues to develop its reputation for integrity and competence under the leadership, philosophy and direction of Dr Robert (Bob) S. Lockwood, Lloyd Berendt and John Lockwood. Along with chief estimator Rex McEwan, the directors bring to the companies some 120 years of combined experience in the construction industry.

The Group employs some 38 management personnel, including experienced Project Managers and Foremen to ensure optimum planning and on-site performance. These are well supported by the estimating and administration skills of the quantity surveying staff and tradesmen.

Our versatility and ability to adapt our building style to accommodate individual project and client requirements owes much to the commitment of our team who all share in our philosophy. Many of our management personnel have a practical background that combines with excellent communication and site management skills to ensure the success of each project.

The qualities of our team continue to be recognised by clients and our peers with the group receiving Gold Medal awards for The Mt Manganui Fire Station and Mana Tamariki, the Hopkirk Research Institute, and the PNCC Clock Tower in Palmerston North with Mana Tamariki winning the Education Project Gold Reserve Award and National Winner from RMB 2008 Commercial Project Awards.
